Thanks to the cooperation between Dostoevsky Omsk State University and the University of Latvia (Riga) within the Erasmus + Program in April 2018 I had a chance to give the author’s series of lectures to the students of the Faculty of Humanities. The lectures focused on the instruments of influence in the texts of social advertising and were given to Master`s degree students at the Faculty of Humanities who study the language of modern media texts as one of the main topics for scientific research.
It was a really wonderful and encouraging experience: well-equipped audiences, a warm welcome from both students and teachers, the opportunity to test some of the new topics of the course and to hear interesting questions from colleagues and students. As a feedback at the end of the course, Ms Anastasia Vedela, the Erasmus+ project coordinator noted that the lectures were so interesting and professionally read that we wanted to listen to them again. It also was a pleasure for me to work at the University of Latvia so that I would like to return there.
