Dostoevsky Omsk State University invites you to participate in the very first online edition of its Russian Language Winter School "Discover Siberia"!
Dostoevsky OmSU offers a 2-week program both for those who would like to start learning Russian from scratch as well as for those who wish to improve their Russian language skills.
LANGUAGE PROGRAM
Classes are held in international small groups based on the Russian language competences. You will have 2 Russian lessons a day. The first one focuses on reading, writing skills and key grammar. After the short break you will focus on improving your oral skills using role-play, debate and project work.
Russian language classes are taught by experienced language teaching professionals (certified teachers of Russian as a Foreign Language) and follow a communicative approach to language teaching.
SOCIO-CULTURAL PROGRAM
Packed with interactive activities, seminars and workshops on the Russian culture as well as virtual guided excursions, this intensive short program will help you apply and improve your language abilities while introducing you to different aspects of Siberian life and let you steep yourself in Russia’s rich cultural heritage.
The cultural program includes:
- Downtown Omsk guided tour online
- Vareniki-making workshop
- Online Russian Movie night
- Online lecture on Omsk history
- Online intercultural events with tutors
Our Russian culture teaching staff all have a wealth of experience both as academics and from working in their industries, so you can feel confident that you're always being taught the most relevant information.
Upon successful completion of the program you will get the Russian Language School Certificate (4 ECTS).

Required Application Documents:
Participation fee: 150 €
Participation fee includes: tuition fees, Initial Grading test, study materials, socio-cultural program, virtual excursions, certificate of the program completion and tutors’ support.
